Jennifer Tilly's birth occurred in Los Angeles, California on September 16, 1958. The conditions were horrible. Her father was a vehicle salesman and her mother was a school teacher. Jennifer is the third of the four children in her family often accompanied her mother for her performances at the theater, and was much impressed by her. Jennifer's mother and father separated at age five. Jennifer resided in British Columbia for most of her early years following the divorce of her mother, along with the others moved there. Jennifer did not consider herself a professional however, she was a talented artist as a kid. As a child, Jennifer was often targeted by bullies at Canadian schools. Theater was her first passion, but it began to wane throughout her time in high school which is why, as a consequence she was a regular participant in shows by herself with the assistance of her mother. Her mother inspired all of her kids to develop an interest in performing arts. Then she began acting.
